Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman has published widely she has received grants from numerous sources and received several international and national awards. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the globe regarding policy and the research of child abuse in the justice system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
