Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. She's recorded a variety of well-known covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that were widely appreciated. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway from her side, also gave the song a boost of recognition. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding a piano hidden in her attic then becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Her parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but for growth. The Aksnes family inspired her to write. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote could be used to not make her famous rather to help people to realize their own value and impact to the world, she began singing them in public. At age 6 she started playing the piano. At age nine, she, started writing songs. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Her only passion is to write music. She believes music can make people feel more relaxed.
